LOGAN RICKETTS – Coach

As a Fairbanks "home boy", I grew up skiing and racing on Cleary Summit. Our race program fell apart when I was about 12 years old, though my commitment to skiing and racing did not. I took every available opportunity to increase my knowledge of skiing and to better my abilities throughout Jr. High and High School. I then attended Southern Oregon State College in order to race for their team. Hard work took me from the last guy on the team to the first guy on the team in two years. I had to entirely relearn how the tool (ski) works, doing drills with 12 - 15 year olds every weekend with my brother who has coached ski racing his whole life. This was in addition to our college team's regular training schedule. Skiing is engrained in my family and my life; it is my passion. I have said for over twenty years, "If I can get someone to appreciate skiing as much as I do, then I have succeeded".

My name is Keelan McNulty from Incline Village, Lake Tahoe. I have been living in the Fairbanks Community since June 2005 and I work in the Army as a UH60 Blackhawk Aviator. I was born on my skis learning from who else but MOM, and then as I grew up I joined the local race team to further enhance my skills. I raced for 5 years before entering High School and then continued to ski recreationally. I attended Montana State University in Bozeman, shredding Bridger Bowl and Big Sky all while maintaining my grades and earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. I coached for the club during the season of 2007, and after a year in Iraq and a winter in the sand I am more than excited to be back with the team and back in AK.

JOHN GOULD - Coach

John came from a skiing family, and started skiing at the Big Mountain in Whitefish Montana at the ripe old age of three. He enjoyed a fulfilling, if somewhat pedestrian racing career there through the age of 18. In that time John was lucky enough to be invited to the Junior Nationals and a few Can-Am races where it became evident that he should move on to the next stage of his skiing career. To that end, he worked as a ski coach at Big Mountain before moving to the Alyeska Ski Club where he coached through the better part of the nineteen eighties. He finished his coaching career with the Fairbanks Alpine Ski Team in the early nineties, after which even the USSA agreed that he had been around quite long enough. John now skis with his wife Nancy and two children, Lizzy and Aaron, and enjoys helping the FASC coaching the next generation of young ski racers of Fairbanks.
